Is the PDF editor really free?
Yes. Every feature — reorder, rotate, merge, sign, fill forms, download — is free. There is no daily task limit, no credit card, and no upgrade prompt. We've been free since launch and we plan to stay that way.
Do I need an account to use it?
Not to edit. You can upload a PDF, organise pages, sign it, and preview the result without signing in. We only ask for a free Google sign-in when you click Download — to keep your finished PDF in your history.
Will my edited PDF have a watermark?
No. Your downloaded PDF is clean — no watermark, no banner, no "Made with Docuconverter" footer. It looks exactly like the PDF you uploaded, with your changes applied.
What happens to my file after I'm done?
Your upload is used only to assemble the final PDF, then it's deleted from our servers within 1 hour of your download — usually within minutes. We never sell, share, or train models on your files.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. You can upload, sign, and download a PDF on a phone. Drag-to-reorder and precise signature placement are easier on a laptop or tablet, but the core flow works on any screen.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
You can reorder, rotate, sign, and merge a scanned PDF. Editing the text inside the scanned image is not supported — for that, convert it with our PDF to Word tool first, edit in Word, then save back as PDF.
How is this different from Adobe Acrobat?
Adobe is more powerful — it can edit body text, run OCR, and redact pages. We're free, work in your browser with no install, and don't ask for a credit card. For everyday signing and reorganising, we're a faster path.
Can I edit the text in my PDF?
Yes — single-line text edits work on text-based PDFs (not scans). Switch to Edit text mode, click any word or phrase, and type your replacement. Latin scripts (English, Spanish, French, etc.) and Indic scripts (Hindi, Bengali, Tamil) are supported. Multi-line text is being added in a future release.
